Some training content sessions will come with one (sometimes more) exercises that are related to the session content. The concept behind them is that after watching the video, you will use the strategies outlined in the video and field exercise in practice before sharing and reflecting upon your experience and with the rest of your team.
There are four ways to input a journal entry:
- on the session homepage
- on the activity feed
- via an email notification
- on the Field Exercise Summary page
On the session homepage
Exercises can be found underneath the core learning object on the session page.
Enter your answer / response into the text-box and click 'submit'.
On the activity feed
The field exercise box will let the user know if they have any outstanding journal entries to complete.
You can enter your most recent due field exercise by selecting the field exercises button on home page.
Pressing the button displays due field exercise in descending order (most recent first). The number represents the number of exercises due.
Through your email notifications
If you have your email notifications enabled you will receive an email reminder when you've not submitted a journal entry for a session which was scheduled 7 days before.
In the email is a link to click that will open the related exercise and you simply type your response into the box and click submit. The email will look like this:
When you click on the link to enter your journal it will open like the image below to allow you to submit it straight away.
